Fill in the Blank Friday

I took this from Jenni's site over at Less is More. She got it from The Little things We do. I thought it would fun for Friday posts.

1. My favorite thing about this week has been
getting back into the groove with my man. After the surgery and having TOM come and being so busy we havent had too much time together.

2. The weather this week has been awesome!! storm clouds rain and sometimes the occasional sun.


3. The last (interesting) item I received in the mail some Reliv and Immune Booster Stuff from my mama to get my body healed and back on track

4. The last movie I saw was Deliver Us From Eva. I love black people and black people movies. So Tyler Perry really rocks my house with Madea and the PoPo. lol so funny

5. If I could be doing anything I felt like today I would be out on a fun date with my man. We are having one tonight and I am super duperly excited.

6. As a teenager I was hyper and silly but with a serious streak. There was some major good times and I would love to re-live them.


7. I wish I could trade lives for the day with no one. Although it would be nice to have a day without kids or without my responsibility I couldnt imagine living any other life.

Random Thinkings

Random #1 It is happening that a lot of people around me are doing the HCG diet thingy. The idea of it intrigues me and as I see through their experiences that it is not some hokey pill that makes your heart race and makes you make a fool of yourself. I am still in the debating stage plus I want to give my body time to heal and fully recover. But how cool would it be to lose that weight in like a couple of months compared to six months or so.

Random #2 I have become obsessed with weighing myself. It is almost a nightly ritual. I weigh myself at night because I know that is the real me. I get excited because I just know the number will be lower by a few points. Plus I just like to get naked.

Random #3 I am excited for school to start. Not because my kidlets will be gone for the day, because I plan on being in the classroom with them, but because of the things they will learn and the adventures they will experience as they continually learn. We have many adventures at home but it is nothing like opening a book and escaping in it. (plus it will give me a chance to workout more)

Random #4 I so want to get a haircut. I get my haircut every two years and it is sorely hitting that two year mark. I am ready for something new and sexy.

Goal for this week: Walk the track at 3 days

I havent been doing too much exercise just doing the normal movements around the house, cleaning, taking care of kidlets. So this week I want to make an effort to exercise. Even if it is walking. Truth be told I am scared to try anything heavy right now. I do do occasional squats by the kitchen counter but other than that I am just going to walk.

Here's a Funny

I went out to a church party this Saturday. It has been two weeks since I have been to anything church related so it has been a while since I seen some friends. Anywho, a lot of the people are working out and they look so good with their weight-loss and it got me really excited to continue losing weight. We were talking and they were saying how they could tell a difference. And I said Yeah we always lose it in our face and arms first and they agreed and then she said and don't forget the boobs. And then I grabbed my boobs and I said no I dont want to lose my boobs. hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Well I thought it was funny LOL I know I know I am a nerd

Why the heck am I posting a picture of dead flowers on here?! Bare with me as I reflect. These past two weeks have been crazy! Bad luck crazy! Starting with our fridge dying. My appendix being inflamed. The kidlets bed breaking. The coppers that were waiting for us on our driving adventure. My phone being stolen. The continuous pain. My hearing aid being lost. So on and so forth. It was really hard for me to stay positive and happy. I went to church the other day and I was praying that Heavenly Father would please just take the bad away and he gave me an answer. I never have gotten an answer so fast before. But it was there, "Be still and know that I am God." I am not going to get all religious on you all but it really made my day as well as reading Pencil Bound Skirts post about Life Being Good and MissPudding's posts always having a good thing at the end. Now the flowers even though they are dying and getting ugly they still smell wonderful and make me happy. Such is life there may be bad things that happen but there are also good things and we just need to find them and focus on those good things

Yummy Recipe


I really liked Smaller Fun Pants idea of trying a new recipe a week and I really just love doing new things. (even if it does take some talking into it) I found this recipe through the pampered chef Season's Best recipe book. It is only $1.00 and it has a about 10-15 recipes. Very Nice. Anyways the name of it is Thai Peanut Chicken Stir-Fry Salad. I love Thai food and my man spent a couple years in Thailand so I always like trying to make Thai food for him. It turned out beautiful except I didnt chop the romaine like I was supposed to but oh well. It was still delicious!!

Hmmm

Tonight I will weigh in and it will be a bitter sweet event. I will get to see if in truth all the liquid and gas will have left my body and made me the person whom I was post surgery. It will be fun and it will put me back in the game.

The funny thing is the night I went into the hospital I was puking and having diarrhea (no that is not the funny part) but after I felt I was done I weighed myself. I seriously thought I had nothing left in me. I weighed an awesome 177 point something pounds and it made me happy. I was finally in the 170's and I had hope. It was a great feeling and I look forward to having it again, without the puking and diarrhea.

Down and Out

I am a little down and out right now. I was feeling a little sick the other day and went into the ER because the pain would not go away. Come to find out my appendix was inflamed and I had to have surgery. I will be back shortly but I need to relax a little bit. Love to you all on your journey

I came home today and I am feeling completely bloated and in pain still and silly me felt the need to weigh myself. Even though I have hardly eaten these past few days I am to 189.2. It is hard to not be disappointed. I hope whatever they pumped my stomach with passes and my weight goes back down. Until then I will stick to the bed.

A: Your heart only good for so many beats, and that it... Don't waste on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speeding up heart not make you live longer; it like saying you extend life of car by driving faster. Want to live longer? Take nap.


Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: No, not at all. Wine made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that mean they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Bottom up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have body and you have fat, your ratio one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can't think of single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No pain...good!

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU NOT LISTENING! Food are fried these day in vegetable oil. In fact, they permeated by it. How could getting more vegetable be bad for you?!?

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Definitely not! When you exercise muscle, it get bigger. You should only be doing sit-up if you want bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: Are you crazy?!? HEL-LO-O!! Cocoa bean! Another vegetable! It best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming good for your figure, explain whale to me..

Q: Is getting in shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! 'Round' is shape!
Well... I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.

And remember:

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

AND.....

For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans..

5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION:
Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

Weign In Week 6

Holy Moly, this whole weight loss is going fast.
I was really REALLY worried about this weigh-in because I had a family reunion this past weekend and whenever we have a reunion, good food and good desserts get brought out. I think I ate more cookies and food then I have eaten the whole month. But no seriously, I had seconds and sometimes even thirds.

Pampered Chef

Ummmm yes this Pampered Chef is awesome. And the food even awesomer. I know I know that is not a word. Too bad. Anyways I had a party tonight, feel free to check out some product and maybe even buy a little wholesome goodness, *wink*wink*. It would make me mucho happy. But despite what you might think this post is not about buying awesome product. It is about the things you make with that awesome goodness. My consultant, which happens to be another VBL contestant, made a Chicken Club Pizza and a Lava Cake. Now I had my mind set and my will power in check not to eat after 6 pm. But as soon as I saw that beautiful pizza it all went down hill. Hahaha It was super delicious. And once you start you cant stop. Love it!!

Out there somewhere. . .

. . . . I have been kind of in a downer mood. I am so used to it that I kind of just welcome it. I am still working out and moving but I get bored easily and a lot of other stuff easily. That is why I dont get on the computer much. I love reading everyone's blogs but then there are so many that I dont get time to comment. But I like commenting to boost others up. Oh well. carry on
